Q: What is this “trending,” anyway?
"Trending" is a bit of a misnomer. Instead, we refer to our process as "Temporal Weighting.” Standards-based theory suggests that we should, in general, give more recent work greater weight in the final grade. Achieve utilizes a complex statistical procedure to perform this task. We call it the “Temporal Weighting” algorithm.
